Haiti Earthquake Captured By Twitter

You might have negative feelings towards Twitter’s value, but you can not deny the fact that it is the fastest news media in the world.  TV, radio, newspapers, and all of the other mediums can’t beat the speed of people using social media technology.  This was proven once again with the devastation caused in Haiti by the 7.0 Earthquake.

The challenge with twitter is filtering out the nonsense with real news.  I expect this to only get easier in time through API’s and other forms of filtering techniques.  These photos came from Twitter accounts @carelpedre and @marvinady.  Our hearts go out to the people of Haiti.  God bless.
