Adidas’ Shoes Game Controllers Now?
It’s always interesting when major corporations come up with unique ways to get consumers to buy their products, but this may be going just a little bit over the top. Adidas has partnered with Augmented Reality to produce five different styles of shoes which have a code printed on the inside of the tongue of the shoe.
When held up to a web cam, the code on these shoes will provide you special access to an area on the Adidas’ website which features games you control with the very shoe you hold.
Apparently new games will launch on the site from February to April, while the shoes themselves will be made available in the United States on February 15th. Makes you wonder exactly what will happen next. Perhaps we’ll use bras with the Wii?

Today Is Not Just Another Day, It’s YouTube Porn Day

Did you wake up this morning thinking this was just another day? If you did think again. Today, Wednesday January 6th, is YouTube Porn Day. This was announced from the infamous message board 4chan. This special day was created in response to YouTube, who is owned by Google, banning an account called lukeywes1234. It’s unclear what caused the ban since the videos have been removed, but 4chan has taken exception. So what should we expect:
- Mass video uploads will occur around the same time, which will make it impossible for YouTube’s security filters to block porn.
- Nothing it’s a hoax
- The massive video site crashes
- YouTube gives in and reinstates lukeywes1234
- Everyone watches Free Porn
It’s unsure whether YouTube has the security in place to efficiently handle massive uploads. Most likely they have unmanned filters in place which will be overloaded with data. We will be watching this one closely just in case wide scale porn hits the most popular video site in the world.
While you are contemplating your next move check out this tribute video to lukeywes1234:
World of Warcraft Catches A Criminal

You can’t get anything past the boys at the Howard County Police Department, as Alfred Hightower has soon learned. Apparently Hightower was wanted for several counts of drug dealing and drug possession, but before the police could catch him, he fled the country into Canada.
However, Deputy Matt Roberson soon learned that Hightower was a fan of the popular online role-playing game, World of Warcraft and decided to seek the help of parent company, Blizzard, in finding their prep. The search turned up beautifully, as once Blizzard Entertainment was served a subpoena, they released information to the police which led them directly to Hightower’s doorstep.
Lesson learned here is fleeing to a virtual world to hide from your crimes in the real world can get you caught, as Hightower is being extradited back to the United States in several charges of drug dealing and possession.
