Facebook Terror Threat Has Serious Repercussions For Teens
Apparently a quartet of teens were arrested earlier this week for talks of blowing up their school on Facebook. The four New Jersey teens discussed using the gas main as a means for setting fire to the school. When another teenager alerted school officials, the school was evacuated and the bomb squad was called in to assess the school for any threats.
It’s still unclear whether or not the teans were serious, but they’re still being held in the Essex County juvenile detention center pending further investigation into the matter. Many students feel as though these four were obviously joking, but parents and other officials argue that its no laughing matter.
An anonymous poster via Facebook had this to say on one of the offender’s Facebook page:
“Why are kids so incredibly stupid? My friend’s son’s FB friend just posted a similar comment followed by ‘jkjkjk lolol haha’ on her son’s page. This generation of texting, sexting, tech-savvy-with-no-common-sense morons may well be the dumbest yet.”
