Touchscreen Digital Radio Lets You Tweet And Facebook

A digital radio named the Sensia by Pure Digital plans to change the way you view radios forever. The radio which has a touchscreen as well as having a virtual keyboard allows you to access the Internet, listen to music, and participate in social media sites directly from the unit. It uses a 802.11g module to stream music and Internet access. The “Internet” Radio will be on sale for $406 or £249.99.
This sounds cool especially the touchscreen, but there is nothing about this radio that your laptop can’t do. You can tweet on it, but so can your laptop. You can listen to music on it, but so can your laptop. Maybe the alarm clock functionality and radio clarity would be better, but do you really want to shell out the cash for these two options? Now I’m not saying this unit won’t sell like hotcakes because the uber rich will most certainly pick it up. Lets face it this is a luxury gadget to enhance your digital ego.
On a separate note, I truly hope somebody with this radio doesn’t get out of bed, turn off the alarm, and tweet the fact that they woke up. That type of action immediately calls for an “unfollow.” If I haven’t swayed your judgment go ahead and download the brochure from Pure Digital’s website.
