Larry Johnson’s Ego Tweets Golf And Slurs

Athletes love to Tweet. The problem with tweeting is you speak what’s on your mind in 140 characters. It might be ok for the average Joe with 100 followers to say his manager is a clown, but an NFL Player with thousands of followers are under the spotlight. So calling your coach a golf instructor at best probably isn’t a good idea. But this of course is what NFL Running back Larry Johnson tweeted about his coach Todd Haley.
The fascination Celebrities & Athletes have with Twitter is eventually going to go away. Right? Surely they will realize their astronomically large ego’s are going to make them look like idiots? You can’t hide this forever if you are blasting out <140 character tweets 2 to 3 times a day. So why take the chance of letting your frustrations out for the world to see? There may be a feeling of free advertising or connecting with fans, but like I said before we are going to keep seeing stuff like this happen until they terminate their twitter tags. And by stuff I mean the next set of twitter comments Larry Johnson tweeted out referencing the word “gay”:

Making comments like this is how you get suspended from your team (and possibly the league) and make fans hate your guts. There’s only one thing left to do….elect Larry Johnson into the Technicapped Hall of Fame.
