Bing & Ping Program Isn’t That Cool
Microsoft recently revealed the Bing & Ping Beta program. This program lets users share what they search for on Bing with friends through Facebook and Twitter. Man, that sounds cool until…you really don’t want others to see what you are searching for. The obvious is when you are searching for strange things like a new fungus on your foot. But what if you are searching for a birthday, wedding, or anniversary gift? Do you really want the world to see this? On the Microsoft Bing Facebook page here is the reasoning behind the program:
We are happy to announce the Bing & Ping Beta program for our Facebook fans. We’re testing features that will let you share answers from Bing like movie times, news, and restaurant locations on Facebook and we want to know what you think. Stay tuned for an update on how to sign up for the Beta.
Whatever happened to just providing links of cool new restaurants or movie times? It is simple to do and a lot less less invasive. Good try Bing, but this program is a “no try” for me.
