Teeny Boppers Love @MySpace.com

MySpace quietly released its beta version of email today.  This is significant news since all of the teeny boppers are going to be swapping out their hotmail, gmail, and yahoo accounts to get an @myspace.com.  Don’t believe me ask someone between the age of 12-18 what their favorite site is?  It’s MySpace for sure.  Just because the rest of the world outside of that age bracket realized FaceBook’s less chaotic structure was better for their image doesn’t mean that age bracket jumped.  In fact they are probably thrilled to get the adults off their massive hookup and party site.

So why does MySpace matter, check out these facts:

• There are 130 million MySpace Users
• It will slide into 4th place amongst the global email providers
• 20% of traffic coming to MySpace is from its messaging service

Whether the business world wants to admit it or not @MySpace.com email will be a major factor.  At the very least it will be the best email system for hooking up.
