MySpace To Become More Than A Hook Up Spot?

The Wall Street Journal reports MySpace owner News Corp plans to make the site an avenue for entertainment news and other relevant information.  It sounds like they may finally be realizing FaceBook stole all of their over 10 year old customers.  This is terrible news; we ask them to clarify the following on MySpace profiles:

-Will music continue to blare?  In particular, will Nothing But a G Thing still play on white people’s home page?

-Will it still be the best avenue to hook up?  Don’t kid yourself, it is the very best social networking site on the planet for meeting your next door neighbor and their next door neighbor.

How News Corp and MySpace plan to pull off legitimizing the website is yet to be known.  Whatever they do; do not take away the hook ups!  More to come on this interesting topic as FaceBook continues to dominant this market and Twitter continuing to rise.
